How the plans work
A plan carries an allowance of companies and a monthly transaction allowance per company; a bigger practice moves up a tier. A transaction is a finalized ledger line, counted in the month it is committed — work sitting on the staging workbench does not count, and neither does a proposal you rejected.
The numbers below are generated from the product's own plan configuration.

What counts as a transaction?
Each finalized ledger line inside a company, in the month it is committed. Work sitting in staging does not count, and neither does a proposal you rejected — you are metered on what you actually recorded.
What happens when I hit the limit?
Going over the company's monthly transaction allowance never deletes or damages work — importing, coding and review stay open. What it blocks is finalizing more transactions into the ledger that month, until you trim the commit or move up a tier. On the company allowance, you are told you have hit the limit and taken to the upgrade page; on Practice Plus a thirteenth company is allowed rather than refused.
Do my clients need to pay?
No. A company you close under your practice is covered by your plan, and you can give a client their own login to that company.
Can I take my data with me?
Yes. Your ledger, chart of accounts and commit history export at any time, in one click, with no plan gate on it.
